CIC was very active at the 6th International Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK) Conference in April. Below is a quick guide to find out what they presented…

Wednesday 27 April

  • 1-1:30pm, St Trinnean’s room: Roberto Maldonado-Martinez and Simon Buckingham Shum presented their joint paper “Interactive Surfaces and Learning Analytics: Data, Orchestration Aspects, Pedagogical Uses and Challenges” as part of a session on Learning Tools and Interventions
  • 3-3:30pm, Pentland West room: Simon Buckingham Shum presented his joint paper, “Reflecting on Reflective Writing Analytics: Assessment Challenges and Iterative Evaluation of a Prototype Tool” as part of a session on Language, writing and interaction. This paper was co-written by CIC web developer, Shawn Wang, and our IML Academic Literacies colleague Rosalie Goldsmith, together with colleagues at Georgetown University.
